Worship with us on Sundays at 10:00

Our style of worship is blended. That means we like to use the best of what the church has used over the years to draw us into the joyful and transforming presence of Jesus Christ. We use the time tested stately hyms, spiritual songs that are identified with the camp meeting movement and the powerful praise music of the late twentieth and current centuries. You can expect full organ as well as electric piano and pre-recorded music visualized on a tastefully placed video system. We use written prayers that help us to collect our voices in heartfelt adoration and spontaneous prayer moved by the Holy Spirit and inspired by the sharing of the people's celebrations and concerns. Children have a part in our worship when they get to respond to God's promptings and the whole church sings a song just for them. The preaching is focused on the person of Jesus Christ as revealed in the Bible. It is our goal to leave the worship experience more complete in Christ than we did when we entered.

First Steps

The Leadership Community is beginning to test a new integration process called First Steps. We are hoping to soon offer one on one discipleship opportunities that will take our whole church through a ten lesson process that will acquaint  all members and interested persons in areas such as Assurance of Salvation, The Freedom that is ours in Christ, Priorities, God's Will, Prayer and the Importance of the Bible. If you have an interest in getting in on this, please speak with Pastor Reeder or any Leadership Community member.

Discipleship

When Jesus released the Great Commission in Matthew 28:19, he instructs the church to make disciples. Disciples take the Bible seriously and are on a life long path of growth with an aim to become increasingly more like Jesus.

The Basics

At entry level, we have an occasional Basic Discipleship course that acclamates new folks to faithful and healthy life as a part of First Baptist Church.

Discipleship 201

This monthly meeting explores how to grow deeper by involving the participants in theological relection and more rigorous study that builds spiritual maturity.
